Sorry, Johannes!
Went down to playground to play "catching" with Johannes and his brother. Accident happened. He ran into a pole while I was catching him. A pool of blood...it's so scary...it just happened so suddenly. His brother then went up. Almost all his relatives came down to look at him. His family sure care about him a lot. If I were the one who ran into the pole, I am sure that my mum would just say that I deserve it and won't even take a second look at me. Johannes went to hospital and have a total of 9 stitches! Serious...I'm very sorry...Hope he get better soon. I am truly very sorry...

Party...
All the P6s are supposed to dress up to Graduation Party but because of some parents' disapproval, we can't. We were greatly disappointed when the news was break to us. Some of us were complaining. Sigh...why parents are like this??? Can't they just let us have more freedom???
Anyway, Ms Lim said that we can have a class party the week after next. So, any suggestions? Feel free to leave suggestions in my Cbox.

Scoldings....
Today is a bad day! Our class got scolded as we went to computer lab without Ms Lim's permission. This day will always etch in my mind. It was like this...
After PSLE Mathematics, we have our recess and Mr Faizal asked us to go to computer lab to wait for our form teacher to fetch us. We listened to him and then it happened. Around 1.15pm, Sim came down to computer lab and told us that Ms Lim was extremely angry. Then, we rushed back to class. "Where did you go?!" Ms Lim's voice boomed across the classroom once we stepped in. First time in my life to see a teacher so angry. I know she is worried about our Science PSLE, that why she is so angry. Liu Ying then explained to her. Needless to say, we had a earful from Ms Lim and were asked to stand outside of the classroom. A total of 14 of us. I felt so embarrassed...
Sigh....

Real Story...( The Scary C-word )
Hi! Today going to share a real story with you. Here it goes:
Which teenager would ever imagine themselves getting cancer? For Sarah, it became a reality when she was only 10. As told to Audrey Kua.
Most people don't understand what it means to have cancer but for me, I didn't have the luxury of not knowing. I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer of the white blood cells) when I was 10 years old, and since then, my life hasn't been the same.I still remember what it was like to be just like everybody else. I was an active kid with a lot of stamina. I loved sports, and could run up a hill without breaking a sweat! but it all changed when my Primary four exams ended.
Unusual Behaviour
After my final paper, I resumed playing sports. But something was amiss. I was constantly out of breath whenever I ran. Mum thought it was natural because I stopped training to study. However, I never recovered. I kept growing weaker. I also started to develop fevers and suffer from a loss of appetite. One night, my fever hit 40 degrees and my parents had to rush me to the clinic. The doctor diagnosed me with dengue fever and I was referred to a private hospital. After taking tests on my blood, the doctors discovered that I had a very high white blood cell count. It was then that they suspected that I had cancer. When the doctors finally confirmed my leukemia, Mum wasn't sure if she should tell me the truth. However, my doctor felt that I was mature enough to handle the news. They sat me down to talk to me about my sickness, trying to break it to me gently. But no matter how they tried to explain to me, finding out that I had cancer still came as a terrible shock. The whole world seemed to end there and then, and I couldn't hear what they were saying to me. How could this be? I was only 10! I sat in silence, trying to suppressed my fears. Eventually, I managed to ask if I was going to die. The doctor assured me that I wasn't but because I was already four months into my cancer, I needed to start treatment immediately.
Burning up
At the time, one of my worst fears was having needles poke through my skin. But that was unavoidable because of the chemotherapy sessions. Injections were a daily occurrence for me. What was worse was the feeling of chemo medication burning through my veins because it was so strong. I even had to go through surgery to implant a port-a-cache near my collarbone, a device that helped to prevent my veins from burning when chemo medicines were injected. But that were the least of my problems.
Due to my illness, my immune system was very weak. I needed to be in a sterile environment at all times because my body couldn't fight against everyday sicknesses. I rarely left the house and if I did, it was for my regular visits to the hospital. For one year and three months, I wasn't allowed to go to school. During that time, all I could do was stay home, read and play computer games. But most of the time I was too weak to do anything, so I just slept.
Finally, I begged my mother and doctor to let me return to school. It was my PSLE year, and I wanted to do it at the same time as everybody else. They were reluctant but gave in to me on the condition that Mum could be at school with me everyday.
Back to school
Returning back to school was tough because the other kids couldn't accept me. They often made fun of me for being bald and having a bloated face but I couldn't help that the medication made me look strange. They often complained to the teachers about the preferential treatment I was getting because I was allowed to take the elevator and wear caps to school. It was hard to make friends but I managed to make a few. They made attending school a little easier. Still, I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry everyday after school.
Things weren't great at home either. Dad had to work extra nights to pay for my chemotherapy, which didn't come cheap. The injections alone cost up to $3000 each, and I had to take at least 10 of them! That meant he was hardly around , and Mum, who had to take care of me all the time, had little time for my brother. This led him to rebel against her. Mum was so stressed, scared and alone that she would often cry by herself at night. I felt responsible for Mum's misery!
Second life
Things started to look up when I started secondary school. Teenagers were more understanding toward my condition, and I made friends easily. In Secondary two, my treatment ended and I was declared in remission, which meant that all my cancer cells were gone. I was overjoyed, and my family took me out to celebrate! I still had to attend checkups every six months and some side effects still affected me, but I was going to be okay!
I call this my second life as many of the other patients who went through chemotherapy with me didn't survive. I wanted to give up so many times because the pain of the medication was intolerable, and knowing there was a chance that I wouldn't make it didn't help either. But if you do go through what I did, you need to hold on to life. Hold on to anything that you can. Whether it's a person or a dream, those thoughts are going to give you hope to survive.
This interview was made possible by The Children's Cancer Foundation.

Vivo City!!!
Went out with my elder sister and my fifth aunt to Vivo City yesterday...I'd had so much fun.
A picture of my fifth aunt :)
She likes to take self pictures. Her handphone got 199 pictures, most of it is her. :)
We went to Harbourfront first. At a jewelry shop, my elder sister and I bought rings while my fifth aunt bought a bracelet. I love my ring! After shopping for a while, we went to the top of Vivo City and took pictures.
So yeah, my fifth aunt and I went into the water. It's cool! I looked like I was forced to smile. Hahaha...
Took some scenery:
Some poses taken with my elder sister (though it's quite dark):
My elder sister with my fifth aunt:
Went for dinner after that. went to a lot of shops. At our second last stop, we went into a toy shop called 新天 and we took a picture with a toy. I believe that if Alicia went there, she would love it very much.
I have a quiz for all of you. If you guess correctly, you will get a small token from me. Here it is: Is a sweet a male or a female?
Deadline is at 10/9/2010.

Teacher's Day!
It has been almost a month I haven't blog. My blog is quite dead. :) Anyway, we celebrated Teacher's Day today. Today was just fantastic! I'll start right from the beginning...
Early in the morning, around 6.45 am, I reached school. Then, I went up to class. Surprisingly, half of the class had come. Our class artist, Wani was decorating on the white board. I love the picture of Ms Lim that Wani drew. Time flies. Around 7.15 am, we wanted to give our teacher a surprise, so we hide. When she opened the door of the classroom, we jumped up and shouted Happy Teacher's Day! I just love that moment. I so hoped that time would stop right then. After returning to our seats, some of us gave gifts to her.
Happy moments passed so quickly. We went back to lessons then. Around 12.45 pm, we had to go to the hall for Teacher's Day celebration. Frankly, I think the performance is terrible. No offence. The host, Nikita and Wani, made some mistakes while they talk. Clearly, it's not their fault. They don't have time to prepare for the concert as that time Prelim is around the corner.
That's how the day unfolded. Still, I think I have some excitement today too. Gotta go! Bye!
P.S. To all the teachers: Happy Teacher's Day!

Tampines Mall...
Went to Tampines Mall with Pei Xin, Liu Ying, Aloysius, Maxwell and Johannes to buy ring file. Chatting happily in the train. While choosing the ring file, heard some familiar voices, so went to check it out and found out that it was Sim, Lim, Lynette and Hui Ping. Same as us, they wanted to buy ring file. After buying ring file, Johannes, Maxwell, Pei Xin and Liu Ying went to Golden Village (cinema) to catch a movie. Went to level 2 to help my mum asked something. Went home after that. Met Johannes at the Tampines Mall entrance. So in the end, he didn't went to watch the movie.
Around 6.30 pm, my sister and I went downstairs to play badminton and "catching". Met Johannes again. :) After about 10 minutes later, a boy asked whether he can play "catching" with us a not and we allowed him to join. Johannes went to irritate him and he started to spit out his saliva. Disgusting! So, the boy chased him but couldn't catch him. I had a great laugh at the side. After the boy went home, we continued our proper game. Johannes chased me so I went out of the playground. Running around the Chai Chee area. :) Anyway I had a great day! :)

I feel so regret and down today...
I did not finish one Mathematics question. Ms Lim yelled at me to stand with other people. I felt so embarrassed. Right then, I swore to myself that I will never never NEVER do it again. Ms Lim said that she is utterly disappointed in me.
Sigh...I do not want to continue the story. End here...

Prelim Oral!
We were waiting for our turn in class. We practiced our oral, both English and Chinese. Not long after, we began chatting with Mr Zul. He is a friendly teacher who is also new to school. Right now, he is learning a bit of Chinese. :) I found out a lot about him like what secondary school did he enter, how's his exam when he was P6...He helps me to relax more. After what it seems like eternity, it was finally my turn. I had my English first before my Chinese. Mrs Ng and Mdm Rozi smiled at me when I was having my oral. It made me feel better.
It's not good to be the last few as I could see that the teachers were rushing for home. It'll be the best if you were around number 6 or 7. Anyway, I think I did badly for this round. I don't want the results to be announced tomorrow. :(
This will make my night. Bye!

Racial Harmony Day!
It was a fun-filled day! 44% of our class wore traditional costumes. This was my FIRST time seeing Johannes wore Philippines costumes. It looks good on him although I thought it was a bit too big for his size. Our class also participated in one of the games and had won first! I'm so happy for them. :)
Tomorrow is my Prelim oral. I'm nervous and I hopes to get 25 and above. Wish me good luck!

Pasir Ris (Aloha Resort) :)
Well, it has been quite a time since I last post. Here's one about Saturday.
I went to Pasir Ris with my mum and Liang Jing this afternoon. There was this gathering hosted by (someone, couldn't tell). There was a wide spread of food on the table when I arrived. Lots of children too. Then at night, we started eating. The food was very delicious. Anyway, this gathering was hosted just to let us communicate more and understand each other more. Nothing much could talk about.
Signing off! Bye!

Fun!!!
Hiya! :D I've had lots of fun in school. Other than lessons, our class had spring cleaning around 11.30 am. We have been appointed to do different cleaning. I volunteered myself to sweep the floor as I didn't bring any rag. Our class cooperated and we finished spring cleaning within 45 minutes. For the next 15 minutes, Ms Lim went through Mathematics PSLE book with us.
I've got Higher Mother lesson for the next 1 hour. I sat with Jia Xian and we both chatted softly in case we got scolded by the teacher. I had learned a lot from this lesson.
About 6pm, my sister, Liang Jing and I went downstairs to play badminton. I had real fun. Liang Jing had improve in her badminton skill lots. I don't know since when. :) Tired of the game, we played "Catching". Minutes later, Johannes and his brothers came down to play badminton too! Liang Jing and me joined them. Johannes kept me laughing. Around 7.48 pm, we went home.
I really enjoy myself very much. And to tell you the truth, I really like seating with Johannes in class as he is such a joker. Not a minute can I not laugh in class. :)
Gotta go and watch television. Bye!

Long day!!! :X
It's seems a long day for me. I've been having Maths lesson this afternoon. Ms Lim was going through the simple questions which only a few students got it wrong. I was yawning away.
We did science experiment too. It's about how acid rain cause damage to properties. Unfortunately, I could not take a picture of it as phones were not allowed during lesson.
During Chinese class, my friend, Shu Yu brought a terrapin to class. It's a cute little thing.Shu Yu put it in a bottle-the size of a small green tea bottle. My teachers said that he abuse the terrapin as he gave it so little space for it to swim about. Some of my friends agreed too. Here's a picture of the terrapin (although it isn't in the bottle):
I've to sleep now if not I will get panda eyes tomorrow. Night!

Hmm...
Hey! :) How's yours school today? Mine was like ok ok.
Early in the morning, I was already panicking. I had totally forgotten to wear PE attire. I tried to call my mum but no answer, so I tried to call my house. Waited like what seem like eternity, my dad finally answered. I asked him to bring my PE attire of course and describe it to him in case he doesn't know. About 19 minutes later, my dad finally came. A relief swept over me. I was glad that he made it in time and I wouldn't be scolded be Mr Wong. Thank you Aunty Jamilla and my dad!
Ms Lim checked our homework next. She thought that I didn't check the spelling on the composition handbook and then I showed her. Jia Xian was complimented for her hard work. I wish I could be like her. Ms Lim suggested Pei Xin, Jia Xian and Sim Li Xuan for Caring award. I felt happy for them.
Around 1.35 pm, it was raining cats and dogs. Jia Yi and I were sharing an umbrella. After walking Jia Yi home, I went home. As rain was getting heavier, I was drenched to the skin. Chinese has a phrase says " 落汤鸡”. My bag was wet too.
Monday is a school holiday. I'm going back to Malaysia to take my IC. Yippee! :D Shall end here...

Not a great day...
Today wasn't a great day. Our class had been scolded wrongfully. It like this...
Ms Lim was giving out homework to us this morning. After giving out to the class, she then realized that there was a shortage of 4 worksheets (4 people in our class didn't get, I was included). She flew into rage. She guessed that the Maths experts had taken it and lost it, so they took a new one without notifying her. In the end, she found the 4 worksheets with other stacks of paper. Very few people knew about this as she didn't tell the class about it.
Our class were given some time to do our homework. Just looking at it in class told me that these questions were difficult. I wasn't like this when I was in P5. Now I have lost confidence in doing Maths as I had deep in my Maths this SA1. Hmm...even Ms Lim advised me not to take extra worksheets.
I have just finished my homework. The Maths questions weren't difficult at all. Easy-peasy. But I don't have any guarantee that I will get all correct. Gotta go! Bye!

Heavy downpour!!!
Oh my god! It was raining heavily this morning. I almost got soaked. But I didn't. On my way to school, there was this kind Malay man, who saw me almost soak, gave me a lift to school. Thanks a lot! Through the morning, I was quite sleepy, I kept on yawning. This is because I slept late last night and had to wake up early in the morning. Hmm...our class had got counseling lesson from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm today. We played games like "Tree and squirrels". It's fun and relax too! When it was 1.30 pm, Ms Lim came in to give us homework and to collect homework too. She blew her top as we are not cooperating and some of us gave her trouble by not writing their names on the paper and still need to be reminded at this stage.
Thanks very much for helping me today, Malay man.
I have to study science now. Shall end here ^_^

First day of school reopen
Hmm...today was a great day. No scoldings from my teacher and everything just went well.
First, I cut my hair last Friday. It is very short. I thought I will be laughed by my friends but NO, they didn't. I'm glad I have them as my friends who won't laugh at me.
Secondly, my ICT in www.lead.com.sg got some problems. For Maths, I did thousands of time but still came out as incomplete. I'm scared that my teacher would yell at me but No, she chose to believe me when I told her about it. I'm grateful that I have a teacher like her.
Lastly, I've forgotten to bring my music book and recorder but Miss Sim did not scold me. I'm going to stage to perform again. :)
My Chinese teacher did not come to school today. The substitute teacher said that she is unwell. I hope that she will get well soon!

4 days in Malaysia (8/6/10 to 11/6/10,Tuesday to Friday)... :D
Hey! :) I just got back from Malaysia! Missed me? Hahas... Actually, this trip to Malaysia was only to do my Malaysia IC. Well, I also had lots of fun.
In early in the morning on 9/6/10,Tuesday, my third aunt brought my mother and me to do IC. It's very early, so I was very sleepy. On the way there, I saw rainbow! It's beautiful. I can't show you as I had accidentally deleted it.
For the next few days, I stayed at my grandma's house. She has got a altar. It's like ...
I played "Congkak" with my cousins. It's has been modified by a bit as they did not have money to buy the real one. It's very fun. I won most of the time.
On Thursday, 10/6/10, I went to Malaysia cinema to watch the movie "The Karate Kid". It's a fantastic movie. I nearly cried. I loves to watch it again.

OK. Blog till here. Bye! :)
